Add an extra contact form for Charge on the contact page

In the Charge Checker a form is shown when the results of the checker are shown. This way a visitor can ask for more information right away. Next to that the contact form can be shown on a specific contact page for Charge.

Copy the form from the Master Website

You can copy the form from the Master website into your own SSD, this way alle settings are setup correctly and only needs some small adjustments. To copy the form, follow these steps:

  1. Head over to the Forms overview in the Master website.
  2. Check the checkbox before the form named Charge check results form
  3. From the Bulk Actions dropdown above or below the list of forms, select Copy selected forms to ‘COUNTRY’ and press the Apply button. The form is copied to the selected SSD. When the copying is done a message is shown.
  4. Head over to your own SSD and go to Forms from the sidebar menu.

After the copy process is done you will have to change a few settings in the form. Please check the following settings:

  • Open the form and translate the field labels of each field, when you want to to be in your own language. Please leave all other settings on the fields as they are.
  • There is one field with the label Check results, this field should be untouched and left as is. This field is used to store the check results.

The form sends a notification to the admin of the website and to the client who filled in the form. To make sure you receive the emails the Notification settings has to be changed.

  1. Go to the Form Settings by selecting Settings above the form editor and navigate to Notifications.
  2. First open the Admin notification notification and change the Send To Email to your own email address and save the notification.
  3. Open the Email to client notification and change the From email to an email of your own country. It is best practice to use a noreply (i.e. noreply@tsg-solutions.com) email in the From email field and set the correct contact email address in the Reply To field.

After copying the form and changing the settings, the form is done and can be used.

Create a form

It’s best to create a new form for the Charge contact page. How you can create a form is explained on the page Forms in this manual. For the Charge contact form you can either start a new form from scratch or duplicate the existing form for the general contact information.

When the Charge checker is used

The contact form can be displayed next to the Charge product checker. When the charge checker is used the contact form should have one specific field to work correctly, all other fields for contact information are up to you. Follow the following steps to create the needed field.

  1. In the form editor look for the field Hidden in the Standard Fields section on the right side of the screen. Add the Hidden field by clicking the box or dragging it in the editor. It’s best to put the field as the last field in the form.
  2. In the form editor click on the field to see more information. Enter the label in the field Field Label, this must be Check Results. Please fill in the exact name.
  3. Click Update to save the form.

The hidden fields is used to append the steps the visitor took to get to the Results page in the Charge product checker. You can select the form on the Charge Check page, which is explained in the manual Make the product checker work.

Create a Charge contact page

You can create a specific contact page for the Charge Activity. To add the contact page it self follow these steps:

  1. Head over to the Activities section in the Admin menu and click Add Activity to create a new activity page.
  2. Give the page a main title, for instance ‘Contact
  3. First head over to the Page attributes section in the right sidebar. There are two settings you can apply here
    1. Parent: Select the activity TSG Charge as parent of this activity. This helps to identify the page later.
    2. Template: select the template Charge – Contact page. This will change the fields you see in the main edit area.
  4. Fill in the fields in the Form and Contact page – Charge section to get the right information on the page. Select the Form you’ve just created in the field Select a form in the Form Section.
