Update Contact page

The general Contact page has some changes to make the different contact options stand out better. To implement the changes you can make changes in two steps, first change the general contact information in the website and second, change the layout of the existing contact page.

Update general contact settings

  1. Go to Website Options > Contact in the sidebar menu. Here you will see the current general contact settings.
  2. Update the following fields:
    1. Sales title enter a title that will be shown above the Sales contact info. The suggested text is Talk to sales.
    2. Sales introduction enter a short sentence that will be shown above the Sales contact info. The suggested text is Find out how we can help your business.
    3. Service title this field already exists and might have content. It is advised to change the title to Service desk.
    4. Service introduction enter a short sentence that will be shown above the Service contact info. The suggested text is Do you need support? We are available 24/7.
  3. All other fields can stay as they are. Please make sure all content is correct and up to date.
  4. Save the changes

Update the contact page

Now head over the existing Contact page and edit the page. To change the layout of the page to the new setup you can perform the following steps:

  1. On the Contact Edit page you find the section Contact page settings.
  2. Enter a Banner title, the suggested text is Contact us.
  3. Enter a short description that will be visible below the title. The suggested text is Want to get in touch? We’d love to hear from you. Here’s how you can reach us.
  4. Choose an image that is shown next to the banner title. The preferred image of choice has the title TSG-Photography-010. You can find the image by clicking the Add image button and entering the image title in the search bar of the image selector.
  5. There is an option to select yes or no at “show form in banner”. If you press no, the contact form will be showed in the footer. If you press yes, the contact form is on top of the page. It is up to you which setting you choose.
  6. To make sure the original contact form is displayed on the contact page, you have to overwrite the Call to action custom contact details.
    1. Set the Override the global Call to action settings to Yes, to be able to update the settings.
    2. Next to the field Question title, set the switch Hide question title to Yes.
    3. Next to the field Phone number, set the switch Hide Phone number to Yes.
    4. In the section Get a quote form, select the extended Contact form that was already in use on the website.
    5. Optionally override the title above the form, the suggested text is Email us.
  7. In the contact page there are two lines of text that might have to be translated, ‘Email us’ and ‘Where can you find us’. To translate these texts, you can go to Website Options > Translations in the sidebar menu. More about the translations can be found on the page about Translations.

The final steps to finish tand publish the changes will be done by the Group, so you are finished at this point.

  1. *THIS WILL BE DONE BY GROUP, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DO THIS STEP:
    The last step is to make sure the new layout is visible. For this you will have to go to the first setting in the Contact page settings and set to switch Use new version of contact page to Yes.
  2. Save the page and check if everything looks correct.
