Products overview
The product overview implementation consists of two parts
A) Product categories: Categories within main product categories with different solutions and products. This overview has: main product categories, subcategories and products/solutions (already exist).

B) Main Products overview: Categories at the highest level, independent of business lines, with generic wording to be easily understand by the customer.

> The main categories and the subcategories are new, and are created with a generic default. These can be localised and changed, but advice to first implement the default. After the creation of the page, you can connect your individual product pages.
To create the products overview (A+B) you can follow two manuals in the following order:
Terminology in WordPress
For the new product overview pages the following terms are used:
Product categories
To categorise the product and to be able to show them in the overview, product categories are added in the website. They can be found in the admin menu under Product > Product categories. This is a new section under the products menu. For the categories to terms are used in the manual:
Main (product) categories: these are the five main categories used to categorise the products. These categories will be displayed on the products overview page and have their own page.Sub (product) categories: sub categories are products attached to one of the main product categories. They will be visible on the page of the main category. When assigning categories to product, the sub categories must be used.
In the first manual, Implement new product categories, you can find info on how to implement the product categories and how to assign them to products.
In the image blow, you will see which part of a product category page contains which information:
