Implement new homepage

To implement the new homepage as introduces in Iceberg, you can either copy the new layout from the Master website, or update the existing home page in your SSD website.

Copy from Master website

To copy the new homepage from the Master website you can do the following:

  1. Head over to the Pages overview in the Master website. Select the page called ‘Home – Front page’ by selecting the checkbox in front of it.
  2. After selecting the page head to the Bulk actions above or below the list of activities and choose Copy selected activities to COUNTRY. After selecting your country, click Apply. The copy of the page will be created in your own country website.
  3. Go back to your own SSD website and go to the Pages overview. The copied page is available as Draft.
  4. Open the draft and check the following fields:
    1. In the Options for the Front page banner, select the activities that should be shown in the banner on the left side of the field. After selecting them you can place them in the correct order by dragging in dropping them in the right column.
    2. In the field Title for the front page banner you can add a translation of the slogan to show in the banner.
    3. If you want the Call me back link to link to another page then the Contact page, you can select a link in the field Call me back link
    4. In the Content blocks section you can translate the content and check the following blocks:
      1. Unique selling points: except from translating no changes have to be made.
      2. Information block: if you want to show this, make sure the more info button contains a link. If this block has no purpose for you, you can remove it.
      3. Latest news: no additional changes have to be made
      4. Our mission: make sure the button fields in the Button to more info page and the Link items in the right column contain a link to a page in your own site.
      5. Cases slider: select the cases you want to show in the slider. If you want to show the category filter, make sure each case has a category attached. Check Create and update case categories for more info about the categories.
    5. To show a form on the bottom of the page, you will have to follow the steps in Implement new footer Call to action. To update the settings specifically for the front page, go to the Call to action Custom contact details section and look for the field Select form that is shown in the CTA as ‘Get a quote’ form. Select the contact form you want to use and translate the texts. If the compact contact form is not available yet, you can copy it from the Master website.

PLEASE SAVE IN DRAFT. When all changes are made and the draft version of the front page is as you want it to be, please inform the Digital marketing manager and DAYENNE and share the draft page. The launch of the homepage will be done by the digital marketing manager.
