Video content block
To make sure videos will show nicely in the website, a content block is created for this. You can use the content block to embed videos from an external source like Youtube or Vimeo in the website. To embed a video in a page with the content block execute the following steps:
- Go to the page where the video should occur and a the content block ‘Video’. It is the last content block from the list. More info on how to add a content block can be found on the page ‘Using content blocks‘
- In the content block you can fill the following fields:
Title(optional)Placeholder image: this image will show on the position the video is loaded in the page. You can choose an image from the image library, or leave the image empty. In that case, the video still of Vimeo/Youtube is shown (whenever this is available). If no image is selected and you don’t see the video still after saving the page, it is best to select an image from the image library.Video url: you can add the video url of the website you want to embed the video from. You don’t have to add the specific embed url. When you enter the url a preview is loaded in the admin page. This way you can see if the video works correctly. If no video shows up, double check the url you’ve entered.
After filling in the fields and saving the page, the video block is visible on the page.
